Welcome to Bold Moves

Bold moves aren’t always big.

When we hear “bold,” we often picture the big, dramatic event.

For most of us, it’s a lot quieter than that. Maybe it’s the conversation you keep putting off, or the question you’re afraid will make you sound stupid, or the decision you know is right but you keep pretending you “need more info.”

Whatever it is you’re avoiding is your bold move.

What stops us usually isn’t the move itself. It’s the fear wrapped around it. The worry that wanting more makes you too demanding, or that digging in makes you the problem.

You’re not.

Those fears are normal, and having them doesn’t mean you’re getting it wrong. It means you’re in the seat that comes with making hard calls.

That’s what this newsletter is for. A place to feel seen in the parts of leadership nobody warns you about. You can trust yourself here. The fear doesn’t mean you’re wrong. It means you’re human.

Welcome to Bold Moves. I’m glad you’re here.

I’ll go first. (gulp)

Mine is finishing my book. It’s real and personal, and putting it out into the world is terrifying. I keep finding reasons to delay by telling myself “it needs more work” which, of course it does, but still…

What’s the bold move you’ve been pushing off? You don’t have to name it, but it helps to know you’re not the only one.
